SUMMARY: Responsible for working with the VP of Community Relations to develop and execute the credit union’s marketing plan, to include assisting in developing marketing and advertising campaigns that support the credit union’s strategic goals, image and member needs.
Supports ongoing development of credit union social media strategy to promote brand awareness, new member development, generate inbound traffic and encourage product and service adoption.
Supports the development, production and distribution of professional marketing and sales materials.
REPORTS TO: VP of Community Relations DEPARTMENT: Marketing ___________________________________________________________________________________ Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work with VP of Community Relations to maintain consistent corporate image and marketing communications for brand awareness.
Relay the brand consistently across multiple marketing channels/networks, including social media.
Understands the credit union’s brand and relays it consistently across multiple social media networks.
Ensures that social media tools are kept up to date.
Assists with creating and maintaining the credit union’s presence on social media sites, including Facebook, etc.
, on-hold messages, statement inserts, flyers and direct mail pieces.
Responsible for tracking marketing expenditures and help maintain the marketing budget.
Facilitate the preparation of membership communications.
Responsible for the preparation of the annual calendar for distribution to the membership.
Assist with preparing marketing communications and reports for monthly board books.
Assist in implementing and supporting public relations and business development programs.
Maintain awareness of all laws and regulations, developments and trends within the credit union industry that may affect new products, marketing and advertising, and develop, evaluate and apply those policies, procedures and disclosures for the credit union.
Work with Compliance department to ensure all programs are in legal compliance with marketing requirements.
Conduct customer surveys to obtain marketing information about the credit union’s products and services.
Create and implement social media marketing plan and editorial calendar.
Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes.
Collaborate with other departments to manage company reputation, coordinate promotions, and increase reach.
Assist with new CRM, video and analytics technology implementation and participate in trainings as necessary.
Complete annual mandatory BSA training.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate with staff marketing focus groups to support and develop ongoing special projects.
Make recommendations for new products and/or services and requests modifications or improvements to existing products and/or services and work within marketing budget guidelines.
Perform any special project or duties as assigned by President/CEO or management.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Candidate must have strong analytical skills, as well as knowledge, experience, and understanding of social media, and other online practices to effectively promote the credit union while protecting its image and protecting the organization from liability.
Prefer general knowledge of financial institution procedures and products, including: training in member transactions, sales and promotions.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public and the ability to work independently.
Must possess strong writing skills, verbal and written communication skills, critical thinking skills and excellent organizational skills.
The ability to proofread and edit materials is necessary.
Also requires working knowledge of graphic design fundamentals (Canva, Adobe, etc.
) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Requires high school education or G.

equivalency certificate.
In addition to education, one year of experience in marketing or a similar field is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
