General Summary Support the selling of construction materials and services by establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships, identifying new revenue and market trends, and increasing marketshare.
Essential Job Accountabilities Provide superior levels of customer service to each Granite customer Build and maintain relationships with potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or services Take inbound calls from prospects or customers and make outbound telephone calls and following up on new leads Research and track small end customers and FOB opportunities to ensure increased sales and pricing Coordinate sales based on plant availability, current production and quoting Provide support to Outside Materials sales representatives by supplying larger leads, answering overflow calls and sending quotes Provide excellent customer service including answering calls, furnishing pricing, quotes, and submittals to ensure customer satisfaction Education College level coursework in Marketing, Business, Finance, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience Work Experience 0 - 3 years of sales experience Previous exposure to construction materials (asphalt, aggregates, cement, etc.
) preferred.
Knowledge, skills and abilities Great customer service skills Ability to work in high production environment and respond quickly and effectively under pressure and deadlines Demonstrate MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
) skills.
Ability to execute tasks in a timely manner and stay organized Professional phone and customer service skills Knowledge of materials and construction sales practices Ability to work on a team Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively circulate information Ability to generate leads and close deals Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this job.
The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard.
The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.
