1976 Honda GL1000 (rare Sulfur Yellow color) motorcycle which has had over $4,000 invested in restoration (parts and service).
Purchased in Arizona last March and currently has California title/registration in my name.
I am also posting below the YouTube videos posted by the previous owner who did the majority of the work.
Summary of completed work: • This 1976 Honda GL1000 Gold Wing was acquired by previous owner in 2020 and was subsequently refurbished, with reported work having included replacing the timing belts, water pump, and various brake, ignition, and suspension components as well as resealing the driveshaft, replacing the rear rim, newer Dunlop tires, overhauling the carburetors, and refinishing the storage compartment lid, mufflers, and stands.
The bike is finished in Sulphur Yellow and is powered by a 999cc SOHC flat-four paired with a five-speed transmission.
Features include an enclosed driveshaft, a locking storage compartment, an electric starter, a removable kick starter, a four-into-two exhaust system, a two-up seat, a passenger grab bar, wire-spoke wheels, triple disc brakes, chrome fenders and mirrors, and both center/side stands.
Has an owner’s manual, a tool kit, repair invoices, parts receipts, a parts catalog, service manuals, repair and parts invoices, spare and removed parts, • Per the previous owner, work performed also included resealing the forks, overhauling the brake master cylinders, and replacing the steering head bearings, brake lines, brake pads, caliper pistons and seals, and wheel bearings and seals.
• The chrome handlebar is mounted aft of a green-dial Nippon Seiki 150-mph speedometer and a matching tachometer with an inset coolant temperature gauge and a 8,500-rpm redline.
A fuel level gauge is mounted atop the faux fuel tank.
The five-digit odometer shows 39k miles, approximately 400 of which have been ridden by the seller.
• Service per previous owner also included refinished mufflers and chrome heat shields.
Overhauling and tuning the four Keihin carburetors and replacing the timing belts, belt rollers, and belt tensioners as well as changing the thermostat, condenser, ignition points, and fuel lines.
The water pump was also replaced as part of the refurbishment.
• Parts receipts and service records are included.
• Slipstreamer Spitfire windscreen will accompany the motorcycle, as will a tool kit, a spare front rim/spokes, a parts catalog, and removed parts.
Parts/labor receipts totals over $4,107.
