SUMMARY Cesar Chavez Environmental Corps (CCEC) is a division of the Farmworkers Institute of Education and Leadership Development (FIELD).
FIELD is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1978 by Farmworker leader Cesar E.
Chavez, and is dedicated to strengthening America’s agricultural and rural communities through our Core Values of Opportunity, Excellence, Integrity, Innovation and Si Se Puede.
FIELD carries out its mission through a continuum of educational and workforce development programs that assist underserved communities in achieving empowerment, self-sufficiency, and a better quality of life.
FIELD has realigned our training and education to promote career pathways for adult learners.
This includes work experience opportunities in Environmental Conservation, Energy, Education, Entrepreneurship and Civic Action.
The Corpsmember supports projects at various sites located throughout Kern County and various California regions.
This position is geared to develop hands-on job skills with the completion of contracted projects.
Employers' Training Resource (ETR), located at 1600 East Belle Terrace in Bakersfield, California, is the administrative and fiscal agent for the Kern, Inyo and Mono Counties Workforce Development Area .
ETR is requesting proposals from qualifying entities interested in operating a Work Experience program for Out-of-School Youth (OSY) in the County of Kern under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act .
All programs must meet the requirements for Work Experience Services to OSY, be responsive to local labor market demands, and assist individuals in their goal to obtain self-sufficiency through employment and/or postsecondary education.
All programs must contribute positively to the Indicators of Performance for Youth as applicable; and all work experience sites must be located in Kern County.
ETR OSY COMPREHENSIVE QUALIFICATIONS Must be between the ages of 18-24 at the time of hire Can NOT be enrolled into an Educational Course at the time of hire.
Must meet one of the requirement barriers that are listed below: A school dropout A youth who is within the age of compulsory school attendance, but has not attended school for at least the most recent complete school year calendar quarter.
A recipient of a secondary school diploma or its recognized equivalent who is a low-income individual and is either basic skills deficient or an English language learner.
An offender.
A homeless individual, a homeless child or youth, or a runaway.
An individual in foster care or who has aged out of the foster care system or who has attained 16 years of age and left foster care for kinship guardianship or adoption, a child eligible for assistance under sec.
477 of the Social Security Act (42 U.
S.
C.
677), or in an out-of-home placement.
An individual who is pregnant or parenting.
An individual with a disability A low-income individual who requires additional assistance to enter or complete an educational program or to secure or hold employment.

The goal of OSY Services is to help disconnected young adults who are not employed or in school, to re-connect with the educational, training, employment and supportive services they need to succeed in the labor market and/or postsecondary educational opportunities leading to jobs in careers with the potential for high growth and high wages.
Once your application has been submitted and approved by Employers Training Resource (ETR), you will have the opportunity to develop hands-on job skills in one the following areas.
Early Childhood Education SUMMARY Under the guidance and supervision of the Site Supervisor the ECE Instructional Aide will assist in the planning, preparation, and performance of all duties under their responsibility, and monitor children enrolled in FIELD ECE Child Care Centers at all times.
The successful candidate will report to the ECE Site Supervisor, help volunteers and substitute on jobsite.
This is a hands-on role and will require performing tasks associated with the assistance in the instruction and supervision of ECE children.
The individual working in this role will be responsible for providing a meaningful, nurturing, and safe environment to all children enrolled in the center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES includes, but not limited to the following.
Other related duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Assist the ECE teacher in the preschool classroom, as required.
Assist the ECE teacher in preparation and implementation of developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
Assist in daily progress notes, maintenance of files and reports.
Maintain classroom and equipment including cleaning of toys, furniture and facilities as necessary.
Participate in preschool in-service and committee activities as directed.
May be required to perform duties at different preschool sites.
Attend classroom staff meetings and professional development training.
Follow all Head Start performance standards, State Preschool funding terms and conditions, and Title 22 licensing requirements (as applicable).
Collaborate with and assist volunteers as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of subject matter/course content and resources relevant to assignment.
Knowledge of and skills in using effective instructional strategies and practices.
∙ Skills in managing and promoting positive student behavior.
Skills in data analysis to assess, monitor, and inform instruction for student growth, organization, time management, and record keeping.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Can NOT be enrolled into an Educational Course at the time of hire.
Once hired you will be required to enroll into an approved educational course.
No previous work experience required CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Possession of California driver license preferred Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certificate, preferred.
Current Food Handler’s Certificate, preferred.
Must have a current Child Care Providers Mandated Reporter certificate, or be able to complete the training within ninety (90) days from hire date.
Working towards attaining a Child Development Teacher Assistant permit from the California Teacher Credentialing department, preferred.
Must have tuberculosis (TB) clearance or obtain TB clearance before beginning work.
Must be able to pass fingerprinting (Live Scan) and criminal record clearance by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
Must have a Health Screening Report clearance before beginning work or must obtain the health clearance within seven (7) days from date of hire.
Must have Immunization records or must obtain vaccines within seven (7) days from date of hire.
Pertussis Measles Admissions & Records Coordinator SUMMARY The A&R Coordinator collects, analyzes, and organizes data and submits reports for FIELD’s EPIC, CTE and ESL programs.
The coordinator is responsible for ensuring compliance with deadlines and handling of confidential student information.
Must possess the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to the following.
Other related duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Enter all collected CASAS data into the Enterprise TOPSPro database every quarter.
Collect and manage assessment data from all learning centers.
Generate assessment and other reports for Student Services Coordinators and management.
Ensure data is collected appropriately and meets all the legal and ethical standards that apply to the collection of data involving personal information.
Assist in the recruitment and orientation activities for programs.
Enter and score student tests, assessments and evaluations.
Facilitate communication with other staff about deadlines, mandatory CASAS paperwork and any other necessary student information.
Track the beginning and the end of classes and inform staff when assessments apply and including when testing should be done.
Use AERIES, a student information system, to track student attendance.
Track high school graduates with respect to assessments, funding requirements and measures of student success through TOPSPro database.
Receive and file copies of high school diplomas in students’ records.
Anticipate problems, actively communicate needs, and suggest solutions to provide the strongest student support possible.
Report weekly and monthly activity reports to Supervisor.
Manage and maintain physical and electronic student files in a central, organized manner Maintain productive working relationships with external community organizations.
