You're not afraid to be honest when you don't know the answer and have no problem linking the customer up with sales staff that can help.
An experienced Nurseryman (woman) or a budding nurseryman must be able to identify plants, best growth environment, soil health, diseases, and insect issues.
This is Horticulture – you need to be a bit of a “know - it – all” and know how it all works together.
You MUST love and be willing to learn (be open minded) new horticulture practices and be willing to “pass it on” to clients.

*Key Job Responsibilities:*
* Greet all our customers with a smile and make them feel welcome!
* Sell and promote products and related goods.
Upselling and add-ons are essential.
* Stay informed on product availability and location by department.
* Communicate product pricing problems, supplies needs, and urgent customer needs to supervisor quickly and with care
* Learn selling techniques, qualifying consultant leads, learn product knowledge
* Aiding in the overall appearance (displays) and cleanliness of the nursery
* Aiding in methods to increase sales.
* Plant containers with a professional look for additional sales
* Plant seasonal flower baskets
*Abilities:*
* Able to bend, squat, reach, lift (at least 50+lbs) on a regular basis
* Able to be on your feet all day
*Job Type: *Full-time with weekends required during busy seasons.
*Required experience:*
* Working in retail sales: 5 years
* Working in a nursery : 5+ years a plus
* Gardening/Plant Knowledge: Be able to identify a majority of common plants, knowing botanical names a plus
* Spanish Speaking a huge plus
* Landscape design a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.
50 - $18.
